Your Role 

As a Product Owner, you are responsible for the operational management of our product development. You structure, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring that requirements are clearly defined and efficiently implemented. You translate complex requirements into precise specifications and ensure transparency, focus, and execution quality throughout the development process. Your goal is to guarantee clean, structured, and impactful product delivery.

Responsibilities 

• Own the product backlog (structure, prioritization, continuous refinement)

• Create clear feature specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria

• Prepare and facilitate sprint planning, refinements, and reviews

• Ensure clear scope definitions and structured release planning

• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Sales, and Customer Success

• Document requirements and product decisions

• Identify dependencies and proactively resolve blockers

• Ensure quality through clear definitions of done and acceptance criteria

• Continuously improve development and delivery processes

• Work directly with the CTO

Requirements (Must-Haves) 

• 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role in a SaaS or tech environment

• Experience in structured backlog management

• Ability to translate complex requirements into clear, implementable specifications

• Experience working in agile development environments (Scrum/Kanban)

• Highly structured, detail-oriented, and self-driven working style

• Strong communication and coordination skills

• Excellent German and English skills

Nice-to-Have 

• Experience in deep-tech, AI, or data-driven software

• Basic technical understanding (APIs, data models, software architecture)

• Experience with tools such as Jira, Linear, or Notion

• Understanding of UX or system design processes

• Experience in an industrial B2B environment

The minimum salary for this position is based on the Austrian collective agreement for employees in IT services (employment group ST1). A market-competitive overpayment is offered depending on qualifications and professional experience.
